Do-pyaaza without pyaaz
My reflection on my cooking journey, emphasizing the importance of traditional recipes and the balance between innovation and taste.

Pranam, dear reader!
My inquiry into law and chaos, understanding and misunderstanding, right and wrong, is strongly rooted in my detail-oriented experimental physics training, in the meticulousness of a house-wife and an attentive teacher and finally, in my yearning for perfection of the written word.
The view that language and intellect are two sides of the same coin inspired my journey. For, without the structure and means of a language, it is impossible to grasp the intricacies of the world; without intellectual abilities it is impossible to develop our language skills. As we try to understand this world, our will (swadharma) decides our perspective and drives us ultimately to our destiny; making all these the objects of my inquiry.
This site also contains many useful resources/guides that I have either created for wonderful people as gifts and favors, or simply are products of my attempts to organize my own understanding or improve my efficiency. Please do check out the free downloads section.
My experience with Ayurveda can be found here (as a volunteer for the Anustaana initiative) and my love for story-telling here (coming soon).
Why ज्ञीप्सा (jñĪpsA)?
ज्ञीप्सा is a Samskritam word, derived from the धातु (verb root) ज्ञपँ ज्ञाने (knowledge) ज्ञापने (informing) च. A सन्-वृत्ति (modification) adds the meaning of desire to this verb root, making ज्ञीप्सा (jñĪpsA) contain ideas of desire to both learn and communicate. Look up the निष्पत्ति: (derivation) of ज्ञीप्सा here.
